In High School, I was awarded with the following:
During the Summer of 2012 I worked as a sales associate at Fashion Inc., during this time I took calls from customers inquiring about various types of canopies for their private companies. This job required me to be adept at: taking calls from customers, utilizing Microsoft excel efficiently, doing math in a timely manner, and utilizing personal communication skills to persuade potential customers.
From the above dates, during the Summer, I have worked as a steel manufacturing assistant. Doing various tasks that involve the construction of canopies and various accessories that accompany canopies.
I volunteered from 08'-10' at Olathe Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit and the Operating Room. Working here, my tasks were: cleaning up after various surgeries, moving patients from department to department, filing tasks, organizational tasks ,and other volunteer-like tasks. Here, I had to demonstrate strong personal communication when talking to various patients and nurses. I also had to pay attention to detail when cleaning up after patients to ensure that no infection from patient to patient could take place.
Volunteering for Overland Park Regional was one of the most fun volunteering/working experiences I've had. For that Summer, I assisted in bringing patients into the ER as well as temporarily caring for them. The tasks included: cleaning, providing various things to the patients to increase their comfort, running samples to the lab, and taking patients from the waiting room to their respective rooms.
