Set a labor board twice a day
Give a brief run down of the day to the associates (AA) first thing in the morning and an update after lunch.
Make adjustments of labor to where it is needed

Coach AA on trailer building etiquette
If the ship dock is short staffed I back fill AA myself by: loading trailers, stage cages, wrap full pallets, or scan packages to the coordinating dock doors.
Conduct daily yard audits by verifying trailers that are staged inside the facility; this also includes training a select few to do this task as well
Document audits on several trailer etiquette's throughout the day. This way I can establish which AA could use more one on one coaching.
Daily audits on package quality along with reducing missorted packages.
Document accident reports for any injury.
Ensure all trailer depart at the critical pull times.
Assist the ship clerk in all manners of their duty
Send volume reports to contractors for pick ups.
Coordinate with transportation to add more trailers
Cancel or add loads if needed to fill volume.
Handle systems such as; yard management, rodeo (verify volume), outbound dock management (SSP), freight management, and skeds (weekly scheduler)
Print Bill of Lading (BOL), finished report of each trailer load, and verify the drivers load ID matches what is in the system.
Move full and empty trailers into either dock doors or parking slips out in the yard.
Talk to truckers either to guide them to where they need to be or find a solution to a concern they have regarding a certain trailer.

Ready the store for the day by confirming registers are at the correct amount from start of shift to end.
Answer any question to the best of my ability when asked by a customer.

Register assigned count to the correct amount needed to start your shift.
Prep frozen and fresh produce daily to always have a well-stocked store.
Write expiration dates and time it was prep or opened, on anything that was removed from the freezer, opened, or fresh prep produce/ concentrated drinks.
Detail clean in a safe matter that will not contaminate anything a customer could consume.
Take temps throughout the day to see if anything has gone up or down.
If so make the correct changes to that particular spot so production could be at the max.

Unload trailers by hand of packages onto a conveyor belt in a timely matter.
Make sure the label is facing up so once it goes to divert the associates can place the package into the correct chute.
Gaylord dumping is a badge licensed responsibility that involves using a pallet jack to place gaylords (oversize boxes full of packages,) into a hydraulic lift and dumps the contents onto a conveyor belt which is sent up to get diverted into the correct chute.
Autosorter eagle eye runs and maintains the autosorter.
In case of the autosorter stopping for any reason, the eagle eye must communicate this, locate the reasoning for why it stopped, then manually turn on each stopped conveyor belt.
If one conveyor belt stops the eagle eye needs to remove whatever package is causing the block and turn back on that particular belt.
It's the eagle eye's responsibility to remove any package that could cause a jam or stop the autosorter completely.
Divert lead is to communicate with managers running the sort floor and evaluate how much flow is needed depending on the feedback from said managers.
Manage anywhere from 1-11 associates that can keep up the pace, follow tasks that as divert lead gives them and constantly keep communication open.
Clearing any jams that can get caused by packages getting stuck is another task a divert lead has.
Our job is to keep the conveyor belts flowing smoothly.
Set aside any sort of damaged, oversize or television packaged.
This prevents scanners from accidentally placing these packages on a pallet and having it be sent to the customer in less than perfect condition.
Licensed pallet truck driver operator, pick up wrapped pallets and stage it in the corresponding lanes.
Stage pallets inside of docked trailers.
After the trailer is empty go through the correct process to release the trailer for another to come in.
Tailor Dock and Release requires a licensed Amazon employee to dock tailors safely to the warehouse and have other employees enter the trailer.
Inspect the tailors' landing gears for any damages or of any wear and tear.
Problem solvers are responsible for fixing any and all damaged packages that were created.
These tasks are not limited to: replacing a box or label, putting inventory back into its correct package, waste tracking liquid spills or broken merchandise and place replaced or fixed packages on the proper lanes to be scanned onto the correct pallets.
