I have been a Police Officer for 20 years. I have been an MBTA Transit Police Officer patrolling the transit system in many capacities. I was a patrol officer working the system and was assigned to the motorcycle unit in 1999. I worked as a patrol officer on the motorcycle unit from 1999 until 2007 when I was promoted to Sergeant and was placed as the Supervisor in charge of the motorcycle unit from then until April 23, 2016. I am a nationally certified Police motorcycle instructor and an EVOC, ( defensive driver instructor) since 2006. I have instructed and certified many officers in the operation of Police motorcycles and have taught in the Police Academy for driver training.
Liaised and organized with multiple agencies, Local, State and Federal agencies for security and Motorcycle escorts for the Boston Marathon, New Years Eve, Fourth of July and many other VIP and Funeral Police escorts.
Lead instructor for the MBTA Transit Police Academy in driver training, (EVOC). Certifying new student officers in Police driver training and instructing Police Officers with remedial driver training who were identified as needing more driver training.
Lead instructor for Police Motorcycle Training, instructing and certifying many officers from many agencies. Instructing recertification courses for the MBTA Transit Police Motorcycle Unit and other Police Motorcycle Units. Instructed remedial courses for Officers identified as needing more training.
Elevated to the rank of Sergeant in charge of the motorcycle unit and administrative supervisor to the Special Operations Unit.
