I've learned from each job I have worked at so far. Each new job becoming easier to get a grip on then the last. I've had experience both hands on with customers and behind the scenes in the kitchen. Including taking food orders, phone service at CD Tradepost, working behind the counter in retail, and managing a crew of workers.
At Sonic I was a Crew Leader for the second year of my employment. I trained new employees in the kitchen and made sure that they had their jobs to do for the night. I also had experience opening the store and getting everything ready to start the work day.
Working at Tradepost I got a lot more exposure to customer service. I went from speaking via headset to face to face interactions. I started off kind of shy, but after nearly two years working there, I got very comfortable in the customer service environment. I juggled helping customers in the store and over the phone throughout the day. Throughout the last year of my Tradepost employment, I was the Assistant Manager. I didn't receive a ton of duties with the promotion, but I took on more responsibility with customer service, worked more hours, and took care of certain inventory procedures.
Good W/ People
I've felt at each job I've accomplished being a good employee and being effective at completing the work given to me .I became a Crew Leader at Sonic Drive-In after working hard to get it. I then became an Assistant Manager at CD Tradepost within my first few months of working there. I do my best to provide the work expected of me in each place that I work at.
Senior Sales Associate / Assistant Manager May 2014 to March 2016CD Tradepost / Tradepost Entertainment － Wichita, KS
This job was one that I really wanted to get.
I finally got it, then worked here and at Papa John's at the same time.
Eventually I was promoted to Assistant Manager and was able to focus on the Tradepost job alone.
I enjoyed the work and I got a lot of customer service experience.
Over time there were aspects of the job that I was growing less fond of.
After nearly two years I decided that I wanted to move on to a better paying, preferably full time, job.
So I gave my two weeks.
After they were up, no new hires were made.. so I gave them two more weeks of work. After that I felt I did what I could to help them transition and I turned in my keys.
I spent a little bit of time away from working to start on a business of my own. It's going well, but I'm ready to get a real job again now.
Delivery Driver / Food Prep March 2014 to CurrentPapa John's Pizza － Wichita, KS
I worked here after noticing a help wanted sign on the door.
I was interviewed and hired as a driver almost immediately.
Here I learned to pick up my pace and work faster.
I gained some more exposure to customer service when making deliveries.
I did not have a smart phone at the time so I drew maps and learned the area to make accurate and fast deliveries.
This job really wore my car out, so I left it once I got my Assistant Manager position locked in at Tradepost.
Cook / Crew Leader March 2012 to March 2014Sonic Drive-In － Goddard, KS
I worked as a cook.
I slowly worked my way up to being a crew leader.
I then closed or opened the store most days, while being in charge of employees getting their share of the work completed before leaving their shift. I really liked this job, but with the crew leader promotion, I was never officially granted anything, or received a raise in pay.
After waiting for over an entire year for my promotion to "officially" go through, I decided it was going nowhere, I was just going to continue to be taken advantage of, so I resigned and looked for work elsewhere.
Helping Hand December 2011 to February 2012Means Construction Services － Wichita, KS
This was my Grandfather's business.
He was planning to retire and hired me to help him count and sell all of his excess inventory. I also provided help to disassemble shelving and other wood constructs.
The job was over once all of the work was completed.
Deli Clerk September 2011 to November 2011Dillon's Grocery － Wichita, KS
Here I learned more about customer service and gained experience working behind a counter.
I also learned a lot more about food preparation.
I ended up getting a case of mono and was too new of an employee to really take a sick leave, so after being sick for over a week it was decided that I should just resign and recover.
Once I was better, I moved on to a different job.
Dishwasher July 2010 to July 2011Gerrard's Restaurant － Goddard, KS
I learned how to work and have a job in general here.
Mostly just learned dishwashing, but also organizing a store, cleaning duties, and some food preparation.
I left wanting to branch out more/away from washing dishes.
