Move Money ( https://client.schwab.com )
Owners of Schwab accounts have a variety of different ways they can transfer funds to and from their various bank accounts which are scattered across various internal and external resources such as, mutual funds, loans, trust accounts, etc. “Move Money” is an umbrella project for a suite of applications which coordinate the transfer of these funds by exposing various UIs to the user. Due to the nature of many financial information/security concerns these projects are heavily reliant on MicroUIs (applications embedded within higher level applications which contain them and amongst other things enforce security protocols). My time spent at Schwab has been geared towards designing Angular 4 projects from Angular 1/2 code-bases and overseeing their implementation inside these complex security structures.
ShopClick Drive ( https://www.shopclickdrive.com )
The first website in the world to offer customers a “100% online experience” buying a car directly from a dealership. Originally written in Angular 1.5, my time at the company was during a time of transition to Angular 4 with TypeScript. Being the very large company that it is, General Motors has many, various, and
highly decentralized data & code-bases scattered across several old and new technologies, requiring senior level web developers that are simultaneously experienced in newer and older technologies in order that they be properly modernized and incorporated into this very far reaching and comprehensive project. Amongst various other tasks, my main largest contribution to the project was updating PHP, Java and Oracle code into Angular, C# and SQL respectively.
Harborlights ( http://cesium.harborlights.net )
A single page application that organizes maritime services together in order to coordinate commercial vessel to and from ports all around the world. The nature of the project requires the access to, and the coordination of, many different live data streams (SOAP, JSON, External APIs), from live ship information to company-sensitive business data. The application then assembles this data in such a way that it is useful for owners of commercial vessels (typically shipping agents), allowing them to not just simply track a vessel from one port to another but also its cargo, future schedule, history, ETAs and much more. It original employed the use of the GoogleEarth API, but has since transitions to Cesium API which is designed around webGL.
NASA's GLASS ( https://go.nasa.gov/2CEiGAN )
A project that was forked from the Harborlights Project, adapted and redesigned to meet the unique requirements of a NASA project. A payload containing an AIS receiver was launched to and installed on the ISS in July of 2016 via a SpaceX Dragon rocket for a scheduled one-year demonstration period. This AIS Receiver continually collects global ship-traffic data from ships on the surface and sends it to be processed by Harborlights servers which in turn provide valuables information for commercial, safety and security, environmental and educational purposes.
