I am a dedicated person who loves working with students and educators. I bring years of diversified experience in our community to the table.
Currently I am working as a School Based Health Assistant. I have experience with the Salem Keizer school district computer programs, immunization record keeping, first aid, and medication dispensing. I am proficient in Word, Excel, and I am CPR/First Aid certified.
I have covered the position of SOS at South High daily in conjunction with my current Health assistant position for the last five years. I also worked as the SOS, full time, for a month after the death of my co-worker. I am familiar with the office equipment policies and procedures. While working in the guidance office I have built good relationships with my co-workers, the students, and have successfully serviced parents.
I enjoy learning new things quickly, and I can work and make decisions independently and efficiently.
I am a mother of six children, three of whom my husband and I adopted through the state foster system. We are advocates for foster children and find ways to serve our community in our work, voluntarism, and family lives. My husband is a police officer here in Salem and has worked as a resource officer at South High in the past. We have been married for 26 years and are dedicated to family and community values.
