  • with obstetrics and gynaecology (OBGYN) department on quantifying protein and nucleic acid levels in diabetes mellitus patients' placentas and blood. (Project funded by American Heart Association and published in PNAS journal)
  • Designed and isolated human trophoblastic cells via applying fractionation gradient and flow cytometry (FACS). Verified target protein sequences, designed and purified a novel antibody which can be used for FACS purpose.
  • Quantified and analyzed protein and nucleic acid levels from placentas or platelets with Westerns, ELISA, RT-PCR, and managed and validated data with clinical department's results.
  • Assisted senior scientists and supervisors with grant writing and literature publications. A team supporter for completing an intermediate project on identifying protein's post-translational modification in cell culture.
  • Implemented Lenti-viral-Transduction techniques to eliminate protein expression in cancer cells and collaborated with glycobiologists to analyze protein's post-translational modifications with mass-spectrum techniques. A member of a team that identified protein and nucleic acid levels in transgenic mice models.
  • Revealed drug injection effects on transgenic mice locomotor activity, as well as blood pressure.
  • Revealed protein and nucleic acid differences in platelets of transgenic mice.
