Responsible for engaging clients as they come to Nordstrom for the sales experience, set sales goals for my quarter, come up with an achievement plan and execute. I am also responsible for sales floor merchandising and section displays. The position requires that I open and managing client relationships through portfolio management and regular client follow ups.
I was responsible for coordinating Internet sales activities and managing entire sales process.
I also set sales goals for department and individual goals for team members.
In the department, I worked within a set budget and made projections of Internet sales revenues.
My team and I made suggestions and change recommendations for company website on a regular basis.
Client relationship management was a huge part of my job responsibilities and I was in charge of product merchandising, sales and marketing.
As a department manager, I was able to support the sales team via ride- alongs, team meetings, and one- on- ones.
Managed operations in all merchandising store functions on a regular basis.
I also directed all associates within the store's operational merchandising, administrative and financial departments including front-end customer service, signage and delivery.
One main central area of responsibility for me was to conduct, coordinate and monitor overall store human resources and payroll administration, recruiting, orientation, training & mentoring functions.
I did selection, training and development of all associates within sales environment.
I also oversaw major operational expense controls, top stock maintenance, inventory control and customer service issues that arose.
While in this position, I participated and completed all manager on-duty-functions, including overseeing all department managers in relation to their departmental responsibilities.
I managed the store in absence of store manager and assumed all store manager functions.
Developing and publishing timelines and schedules for completion of milestones and deliverables for each active, and occasionally proposed, project that I have worked on.
Raising concerns, timeline slips, and probability of missed deadlines with the Project Management Team and getting projects completed on time.
Helping with managing people's schedules, work load, and keeping various people or teams in communication with one another and helping the team stay on budget.
Developing and maintaining metrics about project completion rate and other measures as based on evidence-based project management.
