Prior member of the TRPA (TN Recreation and Parks Association) and I've volunteered with the NRPA (National Recreation and Parks Association). Some of my achievements include winning the Donald Stanton Award for the top recreation program in the state, an Outstanding Leadership Award from the Ethnic Minority Section of the TRPA. I received the Robert Horsley Award for significant contributions to the field of parks, recreation and leisure services. I was invited to and attended the prestigious 4th Annual National Prevention Through Recreation Services School in Phoenix, AZ. I was responsible for implementing the city of Chattanooga's first Teen Kamp as a facility manager. Received several certificates for workshops and trainings that include Motivating and Managing Employees, Time Mastery and Planning, Organizing and Taking Action. I have served on several committees like the Avondale Neighborhood Association Organizational Structure Committee and the Employee Development focus group at Unum.
