Creative, educated, enthusiastic, and charismatic salesperson and customer service professional.
Mary's orchids gave me the opportunity to be an artist, a designer, a sales person, an interior decorator, and a devoted staple of customer service in the small and daunting realm that is Palm Beach Island. On a daily basis, at the most basic level, my job was to create custom orchid arrangements. I had large scale accounts with apartment complexes where I was contracted to adorn multiple lobbies at a time, and private accounts where I would work individually with my palm beach clients to create a concept and final floral creation that perfectly suited their home. I did floral installations that took days to finish, and I mass produced small gift sized arrangements that sold out of the store. In addition to producing couture arrangements on every imaginable scale, I maintained my larger accounts personally. I would make numerous house visits a week to give design consultations. I personally delivered arrangements and worked tirelessly to ensure my clients were thrilled with each floral arrangement. This job was one where I was able to use and develop my two greatest strengths that I could give to any employer: my artistic background and my strong people skills. I was able to use my education and love of art and design to create each individual arrangement. My love for people and my charismatic personality sold the pieces and kept the customers coming back. Accomplishments I earned the trust and friendship of each and every client with whom I worked. I learned every name and developed a great report that transcended the traditional client / vendor relationship. I was challenged with every project, and through facing each creative problem solving opportunity, I improved my skill.
I wore many hats as an employee of Toulouse Vineyards.. My first responsibility was sales. I worked selling the vineyard's wines directly to the customers who visited the vineyard. I was also responsible for selling wine club memberships which ......... multiple cases of wine to customers which were delivered three times yearly. In addition to selling wine, I was the one employee held responsible for the quality, inspection, and maintenance of the vineyards hundreds of wine barrels. This chore had me climbing over the towering racks of full wine barrels. Each week, I stirred the sediment, topped off barrel levels, added sulfur, repaired barrels, and checked quality. This chore was daunting and physically exhausting, but very rewarding. It was a honor to be chosen for the job, especially as a newer employee. Toulouse vineyards also had me help to improve their website. I used my knowledge of photography to capture images of the property and then applied my education in computer graphics to edit the images and post them in a dramatic and accessible layout for our website.
During the years of 2005 through 2009, I was employed as a member of the front desk team at the Albion River Inn. I answered the phones, and made hotel and restaurant reservations. This job can be summarized simply, however; due to the small, "off the grid" nature of the establishment the job was far more challenging than one would expect. In order to book hotel rooms each front desk member was required to memorize each of the inn's twenty one rooms in every painstaking and extremely individualized detail. After a year of experience, I was promoted to " opening" in the morning. This new task involved balancing both the hotel's and associated restaurant's transactions from the day before by hand. Later I was asked to do all of the selecting and purchasing of the hotel's merchandise. I was solely responsible for decorating the inn for each holiday and I was even asked to help the general manager give some of our more outdated rooms a new look..
My greatest accomplishments at the Albion River Inn were measured in the written and verbal comments and compliments given by the customers. I had consistently outstanding marks and on many occasions received lengthy letters written from customers to convey their satisfaction and appreciation for the level of friendly service and the personal touch I gave to their vacation experience.

I avidly support all local animal rescue organizations, I am a firm believer in animal rescue and have personally taken in dozens of abandoned animals and found them permanent homes. I have donated to and rescued from Dachshund Rescue South Florida. After just loosing my last dachshund rescue due to liver failure 3 weeks ago, I am searching for my next rescue to join my 15 year old lab mix I rescued from a dumpster in Ohio. In additional to my enormous love for dogs, I have also donated to and personally organized functions that raised funds for female victims of domestic violence and children with epilepsy. In college, on a monthly basis I cooked an enormous vegetarian dinner, the cost of a plate and individual admission varied per meal and was donated 100% to the local women's shelter in Delaware Ohio. While I lived in California, I helped to produce a one time showing of the "Vagina Monologues" This production sold out the largest local venue and all of the proceeds went to benefit a home for local battered women. While I was in high school I took my love of ultimate frisbee and my passion for finding a cure for my little sister's illness and organized a ultimate frisbee tournament that raised money to benefit the epilepsy foundation.
Due to the fact that I have never had employment in a large commercial or corporate institution, I have never had the opportunity for public or official recognition for the quality of my job performance. I have always received high praise from my employers and my clients on my level of customer care. While employed at the Albion River Inn the general manager posted a compilation of all of the comments left by the customers at the end of each week. I was consistently mentioned by name and given the highest marks.
