During my high school years, I was able to able to gain some experience using Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop. Not only was I taught how to alter images during these past years, but I also was able to shadow many educated doctors and nurses in outpatient facilities. Being in different departments and understanding the different ways of helping people has allowed me to become adaptive with working anywhere. Plus, my work experience as a sales associate and hostess has enabled me to enhance my customer service, communication, and teamwork skills. This inspired me to become in charge of people to make sure they are doing the right things to keep people safe. There are many disparities that arise in the healthcare field, and my job is to make sure that everyone receives the care that they deserve. I am hopeful of receiving a job in the hospital with a diverse team, where we all share the common goal of keeping everyone safe and healthy.
My job in the store is to handle the money and assist the customers with their outfits, paying phone and cable bills, and help with returns. I always make sure it's clean by the end of the day and make sure every customer who comes in is satisfied when they leave.
I was trained to help any students or faculty with assistance in the library such as finding a book, checking it out, returning it, and bringing them to their study rooms. Also, I packed any mail that needed to be shipped out and unpacked any that came in. My last task was to shelve any books that's sitting around, put them in numerical order, and clean the writing boards on the lower levels. When I worked in the media department, I was in charge of letting any staff or students into the rooms to watch films or record. I had to provide the movies/DVDs from the back and make sure it was organized.
I was in charge of keeping the area clean and assisting customers with their questions and concerns. This has allowed me to create bonds with customers while also increasing the sales from my recommendations to them. If I did a closing shift, I would be in charge of the money where I would have to keep records of the money and be responsible for dropping it to the dropbox.
My job is to seat people and make sure they're satisfied with their seating. I always greet them in a nice manner when they arrive and leave. In addition, I conversed with some customers while they waited to be seated to make them feel comfortable as time went by. Plus, I always make sure my area is clean and organized before leaving.

Volunteer Experience :
November 2017- April 2018
During this time at St. Joseph Hospital, I shadowed the nurses and doctors to see what it was like working in a hospital. I was able to gain knowledge in different areas while providing assistance to the staff. In the food service department, I was in charge of preparing food for the patients. In the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) department, I was able to experience how it is working with patients who are critically ill. My job was to check in on them and just provide some words of encouragement. In the Maternity department, I provided water to the new mothers or anything else they requested. In the Oncology department for children, I interacted and played games with them. In the OT (Occupational Therapy) department, I observed a diversity of care given to the patients.
