As a barista at the Arlington International Racecourse, I would make the main Starbucks drinks. From regular and decaf coffee, iced coffee, espresso drinks, frappuccinos, hot chocolate and teas. And if the costumer wanted to add alcohol, I would do that. At the end of every shift, i would count my money and take it to the money room and I would start cleaning up my station thoroughly. Along with those things, here are some other responsibilities I did:
As a cashier at Mariano's, I would greet each customer that came into my lane and then start ringing up their order. Sometimes I'd bag for myself or another cashier. Whenever it wasn't busy I would clean my area, such as, wiping down the belts, cleaning my scale, making sure that the area where the phone, printer, and other things that were kept there were nice and neat. Whenever I wasn't on the register, I would be doing whatever the people in charge needed me to do. For example, I would pull forward all products from the endcaps and aisles too, collect and sort all coupons, put back all shop backs into their correct spot, get rid of the damaged items in its correct way, deep clean any register that was done being used for the day and give breaks to other cashiers and baggers. As I moved up to a customer service rep, I worked behind the customer service desk. Doing refunds, exchanges, answering the phone, money drops money pick-ups, deposits and made sure each register had enough money and that it over the limit. At the end of each night, I would collect all the money from each register and put it in the save. Outside of the desk, myself and other CSRs, would walk around the front to make sure everything was running smoothly and if it was getting too busy we would hop on a register to bring down the lines. Would be at the register if a cashier needed help with a customer or if they needed alcohol to be scanned. And to top it off, I would assign cashiers and baggers which to register to go on. Whether its to give breaks or open up another register.
As a team member at KFC, I worked in front and drive-thru. In the drive-thru, I would greet the customer, take their order and pack their order as they ordered. When the customer got to the window, I would repeat their order just to make sure we got it right. In the front, I would greet the customer, take their order and then repeat. As the customer confirmed their order, the packer would get the food ready. I would do that as well if it wasn't too busy or when we were short-staffed. Besides taking people's orders, I would stock up whatever needed to stocked, kept my working area clean, cleaned the lobby. At the end of the night, I or another team member would clean the lobby and bathroom thoroughly. When we closed, everybody would clean the machines where the food was kept at, sweep and mop. As I moved up to a shift supervisor, I had the responsibility of keeping the store running smoothly and keeping the customers happy. I would do inventory and put those numbers into the computer. As soon I walked in the mornings, I would get the save going and start counting the money as well as doing the deposit and getting the money for the change. I would also answer the phone, take catering orders and tell the team members where they should be during their shift.
