In high school I worked from September 2008 to May of 2009 at an ice cream parlor where I had my first lessons in customer service. After graduating high school I focused on getting into college and getting transportation so in January I was ready when I got a job at Staples Office Supplies. I worked there as the main customer service desk cashier from January 2010 to April of 2011. I was also trained in stock, electronics, and the photocopy center of our store. At the customer service desk I dealt with customer complaints, returns, opening credit cards as well as offering additional highlighted products of the week. I started work at Bon-Ton Department Store in September 2011 and worked in the woman's department as a customer service associate for six months before I was promoted to Department Manager in March of 2012 where I dealt personally with the stock of my department, supervised seven employees, gave reviews, and learned the business aspect of the store until my position was cut due to company cutbacks and I left in August of 2012. For a short time I worked as a cashier at K-Mart before beginning my current position at National Penn bank as a Financial Represtative

While working at Staples I received the employee of the month certificate twice. The first time was just three months after I had started. After just six months at Staples I was being trained in multiple departments and moved to work part time in our copy center as well as at our customer service desk. While working at Bon-Ton I was promoted from an associate to a manager of a separate department after six months. I began supervising employees, giving reviews, organizing the department and setting up the department design, following floor plans and learning about the business end of the store. During my brief stay at K-Mart I was offered the supervisor position but declined as I was moving to a different company. While at National Penn I have begun a career excellence program as well as had my managers train me in projects and procedures I am not yet cleared to do but am eager to learn as much as possible.
I ran the customer service desk where I ran transactions, signed customers up for our credit and rewards cards, handled returns and complaints, trained three other employees.
I worked as a cashier/sales associate in the woman's department for six months. I handled customer returns and sales, had goals to sign up customers for our credit cards and sell promotional products, handled store set-up, and clean up.
I became department manager and was in charge of customer complaints, overrides for employees, decision making, department set up, reviews, opening and closing the store and supervising my department employees(7) and the store-wide employees during other management absences (up to 20)
My current position is held with this company. I am a teller at our in-store branch where I ran customer transactions, offer services and products to our customers, and am responsible for bringing in at least eight referrals a month for our departments in our company and for other products for our customer accounts.
I participated in extra curricular activities while in high school. I was in the choir all four years and in our schools musical productions for two. I received a 3.95 GPA at graduation.
