Since beginning with Firestone back in 2006 I have held several different job titles including automotive technician, retail sales associate and manager of tire sales. All of the positions that I upheld required varying skill sets. As a technician I was responsible for performing numerous types of repairs and maintenance to all different types of vehicles whether it was a simple oil change or tire replacement to changing out the C.V. axels or a/c compressor. Short of changing out the entire engine, I did it all. As a retail sales associate I educate people on the required repairs as well as the manufactures recommended scheduled maintenance for there vehicle. As a sales associate you also set up appointments both over the phone and in person as well as answer any questions or concerns that the customer may have. While the customers vehicle is being worked on you are charged with several different tasks at once, you must handle any phone calls, set up online appointments and also check in customers all while making sure that you are keeping the people that are waiting on there vehicles aware of the current progress on there automobile. Carrying out the job of being a manager of tire sales has its own specific requirements but does include all of the retail sales associate responsibilities as well. Tire managers are held to manage there people and tire sales as well as making sure that the customers are being taken care of. Performing the job of being a manger of tire sales is actually you carrying out the task of being the assistant manager and is often referred to as exactly that by the store, area, and region managers.
