Work History
Research Scientist, 09/2015 to Current
Company Name – City, State
  • Performed research into study topics to increase knowledge and ability to provide valuable contributions through the W. M. Keck foundation
    for an innovative chiral microscope.
  • Design and implement experiments for the formulation and characterization of nanoparticles by introducing an upper bound for optical helicity.
  • Collaborate with laboratories, research firms, and academic units for the development of formulations, and characterization of nanoparticle formulation and their components.
  • Created optimally chiral radially and azimuthally polarized laser beams by using MATLAB and COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software.
  • Engineered a Nano-antenna by using MATLAB to generate optimally chiral field below the diffraction limit, enhancing incident beam by an extra factor of 10, by synthesizing helicity density of its near-field.
  • Used information to model trends in and prepare reports, papers, and summary reviews.
  • Devised an array of Nano-antennas by using CST Microwave Studio to ensure that designs meet the requirements, and compatitabiltiy analysis.
  • Designed active microwave devices such as one-staged balanced and distributed amplifiers, using ADS.
  • Accomplished modal analysis for a lossy metallic waveguide with an arbitrary cross section by implementing Finite Difference Frequency Domain (FDFD) in MATLAB and verified with COMSOL Multiphysics
Research Scientst, 09/2011 to 09/2014
Company Name – City, State
  • Investigated method of Transmission Line Formulation (TLF), developed in the Photonics Research Laboratory at University of Tehran to analyze dielectric multilayer period structures, to extend its capabilities.
  • Innovated and implemented a hybrid method combining TLF and the Method of Moments using MATLAB; analysis of plasmonic gratings with multi-layer dielectric substrates.
  • Invented a method to analyze methods to measure and produce valuable insight on the layer of nonlinear material.
  • Implemented a hybrid method combining TLF and the Method of Moments using MATLAB to analyze printed thin periodic metallic structures (frequency selective surfaces).
  • Derived equations governing electrical currents in semiconductors under optical illumination.
  • Write and contribute to photonic design, simulation, and test automation codebases.
  • Implemented a combined Finite Element Method (FEM) and Method of Momentum (MoM) using MATLAB to obtain bi-static radar cross section of a conductive sphere.
Undergraduate Research Intern, 06/2010 to 09/2010
