Helped develop the infrastructure for a project focused on preventing high blood pressure in the Philippines.  Aided in the design of the research protocol and created supporting documentation for review by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Stanford and the University of the Philippines. Taught 6 nurses and 20 community health workers how to administer and encode the World Health Organization (WHO) STEPS Questionnaire on REDCap.  Led 130 trial runs of patient interviews in four villages in the Philippines.  Trained a local nurse to serve as the new research coordinator to ensure project sustainability.
