As a research assistant in Dr. Helen Neville's Brain Development Lab I work with Head Start families investigating the effect of childhood experiences and environment, particularly those related to stress and socioeconomic status, on brain development, language acquisition and learning outcomes, and how early childhood education can address challenges posed by adverse backgrounds.
