Professional Summary

I'm a highly result driven, collaborative, and inspirational leader. My favorite part of my career is helping everyone around me succeed because if they are successful I'll be successful. My competitive side has helped me get recognized as manager of the year for both companies I have worked for (AM Retail Group and The Buckle). These awards were based off of store sales performance, development of my team, and operational excellence. I've always believed in looking for top talent and then taking the time to set them up for success through hands on training and setting clear goals. It's easy to hold your team accountable if you hold yourself accountable to high standards. As the first recruiter for AM Retail Group I reduced our time to fill management positions from 8 weeks to 2 weeks . I also helped rewrite all of our tools for training and hiring as well as introducing new ones including our current interview guide. I did have to travel out of state 90% of the time Tuesday-Friday so I'm open to traveling as well. I also have a huge LinkedIn following of 20,000 connections and can provide a strong number of professional references.

Work History
02/2016 to 04/2020 Regional Recruiter Promedica Senior Care | Maybee, MI,
  • My main goal was to fill open management positions for all 5 of our brands (DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld Paris, GH Bass, Wilsons Leather, Calvin Klein Performance) in the Midwest, East Coast, and Mid-Atlantic. My position required me to travel every week Tuesday-Friday to different markets as well as work remotely on Mondays.
  • I had to identify top talent based on 5 core competencies which were result driven, collaborative, inspirational, optimistic, and solution oriented. To identify these individuals I was also tasked to re-write the companies entire interview guide. I also had the additional task of saving 10% of salary from the previous manager when I was filling open positions.
  • After my first full year as a recruiter I started training our district manager on the new interview guide, LinkedIn training, and verbiage when it came to the recruiting process. This expanded to holding monthly training calls where I would train store managers and assistant managers.
  • I averaged around 80 management hires each year and this didn't include the hundreds of sales associates I helped bring on board. My average time to fill was 1-2 weeks due to successfully building bench in each major market. More often then not I already had candidates ready to go when we were anticipating turn. I also utilized LinkedIn and Indeed to cast a wide net so we could have several qualified candidates to speak with.
  • Communication was also a huge part of my weekly priorities. I spoke with a dozen district managers as well as our regional managers each week in order to prioritize my travel and searches. I attended every corporate meeting as well and conducted in person training at those events as well as presentations.
05/2013 to 01/2016 Store Manager Sonepar Usa | High Point, NC,
  • I opened a brand new store in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago under the Wilsons Leather Brand. I recruited and trained the entire staff in 3 weeks before store set-up.
  • Our opening weekend we were goaled to do $40,000 and ended up doing $110,000 and made our yearly goal in 4 months.
  • My first full year as a manager I won manager of the year that was given out to only 1 store manager.
  • My second year we grew another $700,000 while increasing all of our key performing indicators especially conversion and dollars per transaction.
  • I spent time training my assistant managers on being an extension of myself. This led to no drop off in sales when I was off or on PTO.
  • I became the district leader after 6 months with company and held Friday rally calls as well as helping run our district calls.
  • My district manager often leveraged me to recruit for the district as well as train new store managers and travel to help struggling stores.
  • Rotated merchandise and displays to feature new products and promotions.
  • Engaged and interacted with customers to create positive shopping experiences and drive revenue growth.
  • Scheduled and led weekly store meetings for all employees to discuss sales promotions and new inventory while providing platform for all to voice concerns.
11/2007 to 04/2013 Store Manager Sonepar Usa | Huntsville, AL,
  • I took a 1.5 Million dollar store to 3.2 Million in 3 years and this lead to me winning manager of the year award called "Make it Happen". The top 15 store managers get this award every year.

  • I successfully grew 2 store managers out of my store and built a culture of succession.
  • Trained new hires with my assistants and kept employees up-to-date through frequent training.
