  • Overseeing 17 care facilities in Southwest Virginia and West Virginia. The care facilities range from skilled nursing facilities, covid-19 units, assisted living facilities, CCRC’s and Inpatient rehabilitation hospitals.
  • Managing a team of 28 geriatric clinical providers including; physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician's assistants. Assisting these providers with their autonomous practice to meet independent goals along with business operations, and strategic growth.
  • Collaboratively working with the VP and /or President to meet monthly, quarterly,and,yearly financial expectations.
  • Working directly with executive directors and corporate leadership to combat challenges such as unplanned discharges, QAPI/QA, antipsychotics reductions, etc.
  • Identifying problems and concerns regarding training and/or compliance. Putting in place training initiatives such as PDPM, Phase 3, SBAR, and more.

  • Upon joining the Greystone team, the building faced severe challenges in regards to Medicaid pending, with approximately $600,000 of uncollected funds. During my time at Greystone, my team and I were able to accomplish a rectifying of $350,000.
  • Along with many other challenges, Greystone lacked policies around admissions and mitigating risks. The corporate ops teams asked me to assist in stabilizing, and to help streamline these policies. The plan rolled out with key focuses around payor sources, clinical acuity, behaviors and psychotropics, admissions documentation, PDPM, and MDS forecasts.
  • Monthly budget analyzation at daily, monthly, quarterly basis with the building administrator to ensure that financial aspirations were being met, and exposures were being minimized.
  • Ensuring that the building’s vent and trach authorizations were current and/or all documentation was submitted to payers.
  • Analyzing cash cash collections and reporting on them on the monthly operations call. Placing initiatives and game plans in place such as rep payee‘s on collections.
  • Monthly financial close out reporting. Monitoring budget forecast with things such as pharmacy ,therapy, labs , and, medicare bad debt.
  • During my time at Greystone gross margins increased by 15% quarterly.
  • Working collaboratively with the CBO, home office, and building leadership to minimize the risk of denials on billing claims. Along with working closely with the insurance payers to provide all information needed to process the claims.

  • Served as interim Regional Director of Operations for a year in transition of sale.
