Additional Information

I realize that being a good leader requires being an even greater follower. Having many influential mentors in my life has helped me see the value of helping others and encouraging them to always be looking for opportunities to serve others.

Since retiring from teaching in 2016, I have had the privilege of planning and implementing inspirational women's events, participate in mentoring young mothers on a weekly basis, and help with a local food pantry. I enjoy people, whether it's meeting them in person, communicating on the phone or through social media. I enjoy public speaking, singing, exercising, and a cup of hot tea with a piece of chocolate cake.
