Apple Day - focused on STEM activities with apples: building, painting , tasting, rolling , stacking and shaving cream experimentation.
Pumpkin Day - our pumpkins (usually 10 large pumpkins and 35+ baby pumpkins) are harvested from the Preschool garden - a highly anticipated event! Our crop of pumpkins in enjoyed in learning activities and centers throughout our buildings hallways. Each child then goes home with a baby pumpkin.
Peace Village - Native American teepees create a Peace Village for creative play. The village is surrounded by learning activities that include: Native American symbol writing, totem pole construction, Native American dance, animal track stamping, patterns and forest animal habitat exploration.
Thanksgiving Dinner - students dress as Pilgrims and Native Americans and recreate the first Thanksgiving. Everyone is seated at one long table for lunch after a review of the First Thanksgiving and shared thoughts about the importance of friendship.
Santa Day - the hallways are full of Santa's elves working to load the sleigh, playing elf games, wrapping boxes, putting together toys, making hot chocolate and their own bag of reindeer food. They also take turns calling the North Pole to talk to Santa, Mrs. Claus or one of the Elves.
Welcome Winter Day - toilet paper snow flies, snowballs are tossed from forts, polar animals are rescued from the icy waters, snowmen are built, snowballs race across tables and hockey pucks are slid into goals. Many opportunities are created for measurement, graphing and experimentation.
Rodeo Round Up - students dress as cowboys and cowgirls and bring their favorite stick horse. A trailride is enjoyed outside followed by multitude of rodeo games and activities. The activity culminates with lunch from our Chuckwagon.
