Professional Summary

I am focused on being a good role model to students. I am dedicated in maintaining a learning environment that heightens self-confidence, instills the importance of respecting others, and one that makes each student feel validated in their contributions to the classroom. As a certified teacher, with over 15 years of classroom experience, I can easily look at a class as a whole, and quickly custom fit an environment based on each student's needs. I can smoothly transition between working in large, small or individual settings. I do not believe in the "Claireie-cutter" method of teaching. I encourage questions, support hands-on learning, make use of modern technology, and I especially take pride in developing fresh and creative ways to foster intellectual development. My students not only meet their curricular goals, but the majority exceed them. I am known for my organization, as well as my attention to detail. I have worked with children of various intellectual, behavioral and physical challenges, all while having unrelenting patience and understanding. My outstanding rapport with my students (both past and present), parents, colleagues, and administration, is something I am very proud of.
