I have worked for the Postal Service since 1993, I officially took my position as Postmaster of Kenmare in December 1997. It is my responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction, employee and customer safety, I handle all financial aspects of level 18 Post Office, this includes all cash and accountable paper, order supplies and managing a budget. I make sure all quarterly and daily work is complete and on time. As the manager of two other offices I also maintain their accountability with audits and daily monitoring. I have become a certified interviewer for our area and have interviewed and filled outed the proper paperwork for a number of new employees.
There are two routes out of this office and three routes in the other offices which I oversee, this includes counting mail volume, route inspections, identifying and correcting safety hazards, insuring the drivers and the customers safety.
I work with the public daily, I strive for customer satification but there are times when a customer has a complain, I also deal with this achieving the best result for the customer while following all the rules and regulation of the Postal Service.
