Experienced Urology Physician Assistant with Clinical and Surgical Experience

As a surgical Physician Assistant, I am responsible for assisting the doctors with open and laparoscopic nephrectomies, open prostatectomies, open cystectomies, placement of male and female urethral slings, and insertion of penile implants. I have received specific training in the Perito infrapubic technique for inserting penile implants. I also perform all pre-operative exams and round on most patients post-operatively. In the clinic setting, I see new and existing patients. I also perform minor procedures such as instillation of intravesicular chemotherapeutic agents and insertion of testosterone pellets, as well as assisting with Urodynamics and TUMTs.
Worked as a physician assistant seeing patients in the clinic. I was responsible for pre- and post-op care for all patients as well as hospital rounding. I performed minor procedures in the clinic such as foley removal, SP catheter changes, nephrostomy tube removals, abscess I&D, administration of injections, suture/staple removal, and stent removals.
As a floor manager, I was responsible for opening and closing the store, overseeing sheduling, and assisting with complicated customer service issues.
I was a teacher in both first and fifth grade. I was responsible for lesson planning, classroom management, and aligning with state and local curriculum standards. During my time as a teacher, I was grade level chair for four of my six years. I was the social studies and science chair, head of the hospitality committee, served on textbook committees, and I was chosen for the local school leadership team.
