I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician, I have three years of pharmaceutical knowledge due to my CTE program at Washington High School. I also was apart of an externship from January 2019 to April 2019, during this time I worked at Walgreen's Pharmacy where I filled prescriptions, worked with customers in taking and filing their prescriptions, billed insurance, translated prescriptions from doctors, and stocked medications. I know work at Absolute Pharmacy where my pharmaceutical skills are put to the test, I fill prescriptions everyday, making sure that the quantity, NDC, drug name, etc are correct. I have worked here for 9 months and love it. I also have been moving up quickly because of how fast I learn and how efficently I work. I handle narcotics, filling and sending them out at the end of the day; like I do with all of the other medications. I also worked with the public in a grocery store for a year and a half which has well-rounded and better developed my communication and listening skills. Working in this grocery store as also developed my organizing skills dues to pulling merchandise forward to maintain store appearance and stock merchandise onto the shelves. My dietary aide job has bettered my time management skills due to having to serve dinner on time and set up at a certain time. I work well with others and am able to adapt to new situations, I am a great communicator and very open to talking to people I have not met, meaning working with the public is very easy for me.
I was apart of a Pharmacy CTE program for 3 years of my High School career. This program started my Sophomore year and ended my Senior year, which led me to becoming nationally certified as a Pharmacy Technician.
