I am a results driven trainer. I take it personally if a client or athlete does not reach their desired goals under my training. I truly find it enjoyable in helping someone better themselves through physical exercise. It is rewarding to me when I hear that have helped a client feel better about themselves. I can offer this company a dedicated trainer who enjoys helping others through physical fitness and is always eager to learn about new training methods. I also understand that there is more to reaching a clients goal than what just occurs in the gym; and so I use this to help build relationships with clients to help them achieve their goals. Being a collegiate athlete, I can understand setting goals and doing what one must to achieve those goals.

Personal Trainer - Intern08/2016 to 10/2016 Max Training – 1518 29th Ave S., Moorhead, MN 56560 I was an intern at the gym Max Training in Moorhead, MN. I worked with various personal trainers in the gym and assisted in training their clients. I helped train these clients by either coaching them on proper technique and form when it came to weight lifting and resistance exercises, timing various exercises, creating workout plans or pieces of workout plans for clients, motivating the client to continue with the exercises, and sharing my knowledge of fitness and health to these clients and also to the trainers themselves if it was needed. And since I was an intern I used this opportunity to gain additional knowledge and ask questions about different styles of training and training different types of clients and what it means to be a personal trainer.
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach - Intern01/2016 to 03/2016 Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletics – 1711 6th Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560 I worked in Minnesota State University Moorhead's athletic department as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the student athletes at the college. In this position I would help coach groups of athletes at a time with their strength training and conditioning, teach correct form for both strength training exercises and conditioning exercises, set up specific exercises and drills, time certain exercises or drills, and motivate the athletes to continue to push themselves to complete the exercise to the best of their ability. In this internship I was responsible for a group of athletes anywhere from six to eight athletes at a time in various sports including football, softball, and wrestling. I was also in charge of the entire volleyball team's conditioning, which meant setting up drills, explaining how to properly complete the drills, correcting bad technique, timing, and motivation. In this internship the workouts for all sports were predetermined by the head strength and conditioning coach and therefore I didn't create any of the workout plans. However, my input was valued when it came to conditioning drills due to my history of being a collegiate track and field athlete.
