I was born and raised here in West Columbia. After completing High School at Brookland Cayce I went to USC Aiken and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. I then applied for and was hired at Lexington County Sheriff's Department to become a Correctional Officer. After a short time there I applied for a police officer position at the City of West Columbia. December 2, 2002 I was hired at the City of West Columbia. I graduated from Basic Law Enforcement in 2003 and began my career. During my career at West Columbia I have held the position of Corporal, Sergeant & Detective. In January 2019 I was promoted to Patrol Captain where I currently supervise approximately 35 officers. During my 18 years here at West Columbia I have been in a supervisory role 16 years. I have developed strong ties to this community over the years. I am a Natural leader and accomplished law enforcement professional with strong history of success as skilled supervisor. Handling demanding shift management challenges and tactical situations. Demonstrated abilities in meeting coverage requirements and building highly professional team.
