I have a 30-year continuous working history as an occupational therapist that evolved into a successful private practice in hand/upper extremity therapy. In 2000 I was invited by the hand surgeon with Flathead Orthopedic Center to start a private hand therapy practice in their new building and have had a successful practice over the past 16 years, providing quality care and producing great functional outcomes for patients. I have considerable experience working with all manner of orthopedic conditions including trauma, post-op and elective care.
In 2003, I successfully completed the requirements to become a Certified Hand Therapist. I have maintained a high level of continuing education, including the annual Montana Hand Society meeting which our facility hosted twice.
One of the most important skills I have developed over the years is the ability to effectively communicate and work with the referring orthopedic surgeons, including surgeons from the trauma center at Harborview in Seattle.
