During the last ten years of my teaching career, I have acquired new knowledge and skills related to English Language Learners and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Through district sponsored professional development I have become an ESL and
130-150 students on average visit my classroom daily. Science activities are engaging, innovative, hands-on and enhanced with 1-1 computer technology.
After working with high school students, I quickly had to acclimate myself to junior high students. I really had to work hard to keep their attention and keep them engaged.
