As of October 2021 I have been working as a mental health therapist intern with Real Life Counseling managing a caseload between 10-17 clients. Additionally, I am Interning at Fircrest Behavioral Health as a neurofeedback technician. I am trained as a cognitive behavioral therapist, but enjoy using a combination of narrative and solution focused techniques when working with individuals, and take a person centered approach to therapy. My interest in counseling began in 2003 when I spent ten years as a probation officer working with clients who had felony and misdemeanor offenses on their records. I worked closely with the Court system as well as clients and families to help clients work their way out of the criminal justice system and onto living better and healthier lives.
I have a passion for working with people and am looking for a unique and forward-thinking experience that will further my knowledge and skills in the mental health field.
