Thomas Jefferson Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma center with approximately 1000 beds. There I have performed approximately 100 types and screens while identifying antibodies, cross matching, issuing/preparing blood products, answering phones and making turn a round times on a daily/nightly bases. I have learned the art of multitasking and problem solving. All of which, while ensuring the minimum of human error. I have exceeded expectations in over 25 life threatening situations as point person in communication with Doctors and Nurses to provide critical patients with needed products. In other emergent situations I have learned to follow just as efficiently and effectively as I lead. With this employment background I have learned the importance of a team and the lives that are affected by the quality of that team's work ethic. I am genuinely interested in the field of Blood bank, which ultimately fuels my desire to advance and exceed in my performance of all aspects of Transfusion Medicine. With this very intense training and depth of required knowledge I have been able to perform exceptionally in all of these places. Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is my current place of employment, here I have received "Outstanding" on my annual evaluation after only one year with the recommendation of my Medical Director.
