Work History
Mechanical Engineer, 09/2015 - Current
Chase Brass Waterbury, CT,

Designed air and liquid cooling systems for some of the most powerful and efficient supercomputers on the planet. Worked with electrical engineers to develop circuit boards, power systems, and cabling. Designed mechanical structures using SolidWorks and Creo. Designed and tested two research projects in cooperation with NASA. Worked with manufacturing engineers to troubleshoot problems and develop appropriate solutions. Worked with vendors to develop new solutions and techniques for manufacturing components and systems, while identify methods to reduce cost. Identified, and helped develop, efficient processes and procedures to save time, cost, and use fewer resources.

Certified Flight Instructor, 05/2015 - 09/2015
L3harris Somerville, MA,

Started instructing helicopter pilots in February of 2014 on my own, while completing additional training towards dual ratings in airplanes. Worked under contract with Yavapai College and Northaire as an Adjunct Instructor for the flight program. Performed discovery flights, proficiency and recency training, checkout training, simulator training, ground training, primary flight instruction, endorsements, managed software updates on all the aircraft, kept student and aircraft maintenance records up to date, and developed new methods of teaching that were more effective on a wider range of students than traditional methods.

Combat Engineer (12B), 02/2004 - 02/2012
United States Army City, STATE,
  • Developed my own tactics that I personally tested in combat with an success rate of over 100% in counter-IED operations. Spent years studying all aspects of warfare in order to develop such effective tactics, which are universally applicable to any environment or new threat. Specialized in unconventional warfare.
  • Tested prototype vehicles, weapons, and equipment in combat for the US Navy, US Marine Corps, and US Army. Also heavily modified this equipment, and helped the manufacturers make improvements to their designs and systems.
  • Created novel solutions and custom equipment from scratch in combat to solve problems and achieve mission success. Often times salvaging damaged or broken equipment and re-purposing it into new designs. Utilized SolidWorks CAD and far more primitive "Roman" engineering methods when technology was not available. Some solutions are still being used on the battlefield more than 10 years later.
  • Reacted to a multitude of situations and improvised solutions on-the-fly in order to complete the missions. Adaptability is key to success in combat.
  • Never lost a single person in 2 years of frontline combat.
