1/7/02 - From the Director of Maintenance, Brian Sauer
Thank you for your tremendous efforts on aircraft 6719's #4 main fuel leak. Your structural experience and fuel tank repair knowledge was critical in the successful repair and return to service of the this line aircraft. This 'can do' attitude and work ethic is typical of your daily work performance in the 747 Heavy Maintenance Check Line. Keep up the outstanding work Timothy Johnson!
3/21/00 - From Operations Manager, David Brandt
When the left rear spar of aircraft 9622 was discovered cracked, initial estimates of repair time were approximately 25 to 30 days out of service. Man-hours required to repair the spar were estimated to be significant, and not planned for as part of our normal "structural upgrade visit" As one of the technicians assigned to accomplish this repair, you deserve recognition for your outstanding performance. Planning assumed that this would be the single most significant project assigned to the aircraft, requiring 18 days just to perform the repairs. Instead, because of our demonstrated ability and professional attitude, it was completed in just 15 days. Thank you for the effort and professionalism you displayed every day during the performance of this job.
12/23/98 - From Director of Base Maintenance Operations Todd Johnson
I would like to extend a special thank you for your outstanding performance on the station 83.5 project. As we all know this job is very difficult to do because of its proximity and cramped working environment.
This project has been the main pacer on this check line from the very start and now with your outstanding work ethics and professional expertise, the project has gone from a 21 day to 17 day requirement for completion. But you have done more, you have completed sta 83.5 in 14 days. Your efforts have allowed us to start other projects in the area faster than ever before and for this I thank you.
You are a credit to your fellow mechanics, yourself and Northwest Airlines. I am proud to have you on the 2A Team. Again, Thanks!
