Work History
07/2021 to 10/2021
Machinist Apprentice Cardinal Health Chicago, IL,

As an apprentice machinist at Marathon Cutting Die I was taught and tasked with many different jobs. Due to the fact that I had a good amount of background knowledge about the different tools and machines as well as the different measuring instruments, I was able to quickly learn and and complete the different tasks I was given. Although my responsibilities varied from day to day, the majority of my work was running parts on machines such as CNC lathes and CNC mills, measuring parts to tenths or thousands and making adjustments based on the given tolerances, cutting and preparing different materials for the different machines and operations, assembling parts, sharpening and testing different die's and cutting tools, and grinding, deburring, filling, and stamping parts when needed. I was also responsible for maintaining the shop and equipment by keeping everything clean and checking fluids, belts, saw blades, end mills, inserts and anything else that needs to be frequently replaced. I worked with many different materials such different types of steel, aluminum, delrin, G10, garolite/micarta, brass and copper. I was responsible for moving and organizing these materials which ranged from weighing almost nothing to thousands of pounds in which case I would use a hoist. While doing all of these different tasks safety was always the top priority so following correct procedures and using the correct safety equipment was a crucial part of my job.

01/2021 to 06/2021
Solar Photovoltaic Installer Education Realty Trust Inc. Everett, WA,

While working as a solar photovoltaic installer I was responsible for reading the plans and installing all parts of the solar system with my crew according to the code's and regulations of that area. We installed the solar panels, supports for the panels, conduit, inverters, disconnects, breakers, grounds, ran all of the wiring, dug and backfilled trenches, installed posts for ground mounts, and anything else that was required for that installation. After all of the equipment was installed I was responsible for double checking and testing wiring layouts, grounds and terminations to finalize the installation. After everything was tested I would calibrate the system and go over how to operate the system and any software with the homeowner. All of our installations were done to an extremely high standard and with input from the customer to achieve the best performance while also doing everything we could to make sure the system was aesthetically pleasing. Another large focus was the longevity of the system so assessments were made to the structure both inside and out to make sure that not only was everything structurally sound before the installation but also that everything was mounted, reinforced and sealed properly at the end of the installation. All parts of the process were documented with photographs and notes so that we had records of our work. After an installation was complete we would clean up and remove all safety gear such as the ropes and anchors from the roof, do a final walk around with the homeowner and then start out trip back to the shop to unload our vehicles and prepare for the next day.

08/2020 to 12/2020
Lead Service Technician Power Home Solar City, STATE,

As a lead service tech for Power Home Solar I was not only responsible for myself and my service jobs but also to delegate service jobs to the other technicians and make sure their jobs where completed properly. I would also work with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to coordinate and make sure that my service techs had all of the needed vehicles, equipment and parts they needed to trouble shoot and repair the systems that they would be working on that day. I was also responsible for assisting my team members with the troubleshooting and repairs that they were working on wether that was via a phone call or driving out to their job site. After I gave my technicians their service jobs for the day I would go on service jobs of my own. On these service jobs I evaluated systems according to predetermined problems and noted anything that could be causing them. Then I diagnosed and troubleshot the problems, made the repairs and restored the system to its original performance. After making any repairs I explained diagnostic findings to customers and outlined the work I did. Afterwards I documented all changes and actions in computer-based tracking system. While doing any work I adhered to safety protocols and policies to reduce workplace hazards.
