  • Research Abstract: The spread of Covid-19 has rapidly caused the universities to shut down their physical campuses, moving their courses to online formats. On the adverse end, online learning has done poorly in many parts of the United States. Survey and interview methods of data collection were used to collect data from 100 students from King Saud university who have been subject to online learning during the Covid-19 to measure their attitudes and perception. Concerning this, the research concentrates to impact the instruction design for online learning. Subsequent, the collection of data through survey and interviews, the results show that online learning is an effective study method especially to students in higher institutions. The research study also brought out results stating that, online methodology is best model for teaching-learning interaction and outcome.

  • Research Abstract: Although online learning has been extensively researched, especially during the COVID-19, there is still not much empirical research that addresses online learning with regard to social cognitive theory. Learning online is affected by the learner's ability to learn or believe that they can learn (self-efficacy). Critical to learning are the environmental factors that regulate learning digital spaces. However, learners now can control, manipulate, and transform their digital learning environment to fit their learning personalities (environment control). Behavioral factors culminate in the learners' abilities to transform their digital learning space, forging an effective personal learning path within the constructs and confines of the digital learning space provided for them (expectation outcome). This study highlights these crucial aspects of the learning process experienced by the students on the model of online learning modalities.
