I have held classroom positions as both a General Education Teacher and Special Education Teacher. Along with teaching I have held a variety of other roles while working in the district; I have had the experience of being the Pre-K and Kindergarten Grade Level Chair and Move It Math Coordinator at C. Martinez E.S., Dyslexia Contact Person at Seguin E.S., and Special Education Department Chair and SDMC committee member at Golfcrest E.S. I also worked on curriculum while writing a guidebook for HISD summer school for Dyslexia Intervention for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. To highlight the Assistive technology in my PSI classroom at Golfcrest E.S. I presented twice at Region IV during the yearly Texas Assistive Technology Conference. This past Fall I presented at job-a like for PSI teachers and I was asked to be part of a phone panel for ASHA in order to discuss with Speech Therapists in order to discuss my experiences with Assistive Technology in the classroom and how collaboration works between me and the specialists that visit our classroom.
