Project Engineer, All-Electronic Tolling (Veteran's Expressway and Suncoast Parkway), Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Hillsborough and Pasco County, Florida (8/12-3/13):
As lead MOT designer, produced TCP plans and concepts as well as site layouts for several Gantry toll conversions along the FTE corridor. Responsibilities included coordinating with client and sub-contractor to avoid construction conflicts while taking both projects from zero to completion in six months. Also reviewed and responded to comments.
Project Engineer, Veteran's Expressway Widening, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Hillsborough County, Florida (4/10-2/13):
Quantity manager for 6 miles of Tolling Highway widening project before and after it was separated into three distinct projects. Also responsible for re-quantifying projects to include managed facilities to meet several accelerated deadlines. Produced roadway computation books, roadway quantity plan sheets, and coordinated with every project discipline to provide client accurate CES plan sheets.
Project Engineer, I-275 / SR 60 Links IV Interchange Master Design, FDOT District 7, Hillsborough County, Florida (8/11-3/12):
As a sub-consultant, joined with Atkins Global design firm to produce 15 percent line and grade roll plots/cross sections connecting SR 60 to I-275 through a four-level interchange. Responsible for creating alignments, profiles, and cross sections while staying within right-of-way and below glide path of Tampa International Airport.
Junior Engineer /CADD Technician, Turnpike Canal Protection, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Indian River and St. Lucie Counties, Florida (7/09-3/10):
As engineer in training, was assigned the tasks of designing guardrail/cable barrier along the Florida Turnpike corridor spanning 16 miles and two counties. Project scope involved creating protective barriers to prevent vehicles from entering adjacent canal. Performed field reviews and provided plans, calculations and quantities.
Junior Engineer, Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike (HEFT) US 1 to Kendall Drive, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Miami-Dade County, Florida (01/07-4/10):
As a Junior Engineer, developed horizontal alignments, profiles and plan sheets for the 8.5 miles of urban freeway. Also assisted in development of plans, quantities, documents, and calculations. The project includes five service interchanges, a service plaza, and a systems interchange.
Utilized Land Desktop 2005 to set-up new plans and implement necessary changes to revised plans. Assisted in the design of gravity sewer and force main plan and profiles. Performed on-site work including colleting stormwater manhole elevations, post hole digging for water table depth, and drawing up locations of pipes and drains on city map. Also surveyed a church property corner and designed a new parking layout.
Drew up and revised engineering plans on SurvCAD, prepared plans to be signed and submitted to the County, joined company's survey team during investigation of properties. Projects included the design of an apartment complex parking lot and subdivision plans.
