Assisting patients to next appointments, calling for different services like eligibility and the patient advocate and or assisting them to make other appointments. We collect urine and transfer them into tubes and send up blood and urine as soon as we are able to. I stock the out patient Lab as needed once or twice a week. Since I have been at this job I have trained nurses and new employees from the other VA. At the end of my shift we clean and sanitize our work areas.

I have assisted doctors in changing of wound care and changing of dressing from knee surgery or hip surgery. When needed I would perform phlebotomy when new patients would check in.
