Packaged bacon pieces from the conveyor belt to the boxes. Helped organize the vacuum sealer with plastic roll, and tape machine. Quickly learned how to put together the vacuum seal machine, then got put in the Crew Leader position which made me learn how to move a Hand Jack, and ride Jack to bring different Pork Bellies to the lines in Vac Bacon. A few weeks after that the managers brought a different type of machine for me to work on called " Wendy's Slicer" which was the machine that made bacon pieces for the great fast food company Wendy's. Quickly learned how to maneuver the machine to control how much meat goes in, the correct weight of the bacon, correct paper amount, and helped with New Rookies how to control the machine. In the between the times of being a great Crew Leader, I decided to become a Quality Assurance Tech for the company. First department was called " Microwave". Had to take temperatures for the bacon slices coming out of the oven, test water temperatures for the bacon that was going to Wendy's, creating samples of different bacon pieces, and making sure that labels were very detailed with information. Later, moved to a different department of the company called " Press, and Curing". These two departments are the most important part of the bacon processes. As a QA Tech I had to monitor the temperatures of the Pork Bellies in the Raw Receiving deck, weight up Pork Bellies from the combos being brought from trucks across the country, making sure that the deck was sanitized and kept clean, checked how the Pork Bellies were being injected with pickle juices, sugar, water, and most important Nitrate. "Nitrate" is a very dangerous mechanical that makes the Pork Bellies last for a longer period of time. As a QA had to weight up, and test the scales that were being used to weight up the Nitrate, and test the sugars that were being put in the juices. In the Press department had to measure Pork Bellies, tested every magnet station to make sure that were was no metal going through the production. Then, moved to all of the departments in the plant as a QA Tech. One being Easy Pan. " Easy Pan" was a department that made private customers bacon such as Wendy's, Hungry Howei's, Sam's Club, etc... had to take oxygen checks of the packages that were being packaged with a small machine called " Mocon", making sure that the bacon was in the correct measurements of the data sheet, checking the machines for any bacteria, making sure that the proper bellies were being put in the machine. All of the departments were the same after that. Was promoted to be Crew Leader for the Quality Assurance Tech team for the company. Everything isn't easy, but put the time on it and you'll see great results on your skills, and the ability for you to learn faster.
Working as a Sales Associate could be pretty scary, but with the support of your co workers you can accomplish, and overcome your dreams. When you are young you want to hang out with friends and be cool, but that's not me. As a young teenager I wanted to make money. Gojo had a summer student program that i was participating for in High School. Packaging Purell bottles in boxes, and organizing them in a pattern. Moving pallets full with merchandise to a ware house with a moving jack. Made sure that the soap machines were ready for the soap to go in, put empty bottles in the conveyor belt so that the machine was ready, became an operator 2 for the company as a student and learned how the label machine got set up, and worked. Being young and realizing how hard you have to work for your money made me better worker.
I always had a creativity for Art and clothes. I like to grab pieces that i see a future for and making them unique. Jeans and destress denim is my favorite part of Art on clothing.
