I have recently relocated to St. Croix Falls, WI, and hope to find work in this area or nearby in Minnesota.
Unfortunately I do not have states' certification here, but am willing to enroll in a licensure program if I could do that while working.
I received early childhood Montessori certification in 1992 at MECR in Boulder, Colorado along with course work in conjunction with the University of Colorado which qualifies me as a Montessori director.
Besides my preschool experience, I've worked as a kindergarten teacher in two schools -- one a Montessori public school in Alcade, NM, and a private school in Santa Fe, NM.
Before I became a Montessori teacher I taught art and I have continued to
make that a vital part of my curriculum as a Montessori teacher.

I developed an enriched aftercare program which became the Oz School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our school received a Youth Milagro Award from Animal Protection New Mexico for their art exhibits benefiting animal shelters and protection organizations as well as two anti-cockfighting performances which were staged at the state legislature.
The Oz School was the subject of three film documentaries, one of which was televised on national TV. Another made the rounds of independent film festivals.
Former Oz students of all economic backgrounds have done remarkably well in the world as young adults.
I love teaching and have worked well with gifted students as well as mentally and emotionally challenged students.
The Tara School was a well-regarded private school. I developed an aftercare which was opened to public school children for them and included professionals from the Santa Fe community -- writers, actors, chess masters and artists -- who held workshops in those fields.

Taught art and ceramic workshops in the public schools for the Satellite Program, a grant funded non-profit which offered visual arts, music, and theater after tax cuts had removed those classes.
Through this program I worked with handicapped children, pregnant teenagers, and kids at risk (murals at Juvenile Hall).
