Growing up, there was always an interest burning in me when watching different crime shows and how they were solved. This was the beginning of me becoming driven in Criminal Justice and wanting to help people. Personally, I have a big heart and believe individuals deserve a second chance. Everyone makes mistakes, but how do we expect an individual to change without giving them the ability to? Throughout my 21 years of life, witnessing what drugs, alcohol, and other things can do to people changed my outlook on life. With the right treatment, individuals can change their life around. Working in the field of customer service throughout the years has gave me the ability to see that there are various types of people in the world. While encountering many obstacles throughout my line of work, this has shown me that no matter the situation it can be overcame. Not everyone is the same, so not every situation is the same. After achieving my degree I want to become a probation/parole officer. I believe with this, I will be able to give people another chance, and some this may be their last, to change themselves and improve their overall wellbeing. With the right guidance, anyone has the capability to become the better version of thyself.
After graduation, I am hoping to pursue to a career in the field on Criminal Justice. I want to achieve my goal as becoming a probation/parole officer, or obtaining another job within the correctional system.
