Research Project: Application of magnetic levitation technology in civil Engineering. Magnetic levitation technology, also known as maglev technology, is a method of propulsion that uses magnetic fields to lift and suspend an object, typically a vehicle or train, above a track. By using magnetic fields to create a repulsive force between the vehicle and the track, maglev trains are able to achieve high speeds while experiencing minimal friction or resistance. My research project aimed to investigate the feasibility of building houses that are suspended using magnetic fields as a means of mitigating the destructive effects of earthquakes. The proposed technology involves using a system of powerful magnets to suspend a house above the ground, effectively isolating it from the shaking caused by seismic activity.
