I was a member of the elite AFJROTC corps of Melbourne High, in which I was a student leader of a flight of 43 students, the largest flight in Fl-011 history. I was in charge of the ROTC extracurricular Physical Fitness team. I was also selected for a leadership program called Summer Leadership School where I was awarded the prestigious title of Iron Man (this title is only issued once a year). I had 130+ hours of community service hours with ROTC. As I graduated from high school I obtained the permanent officer rank of Captain in which less than 2% of the corps of 181 had. The corps also received the Distinguished Unit award all four years I was apart of the program in which only the top 33% of all AFJROTC's are awarded that.
I was a varsity runner for the Melbourne High Cross Country team. Also,I was scheduled to compete in the state meet but was unable to attend due to an injury. After the Cross Country season I came back as a varsity track runner, my best mile being 5:12. In the beginning of my senior year I joined the newly formed Melbourne High chapter of the international organization called Best Buddies (it is a friendship pairing of a general education student and special needs education student). We were awarded the Rookie Chapter of the Year of Central Florida.
? I am ServSafe Certified obtaining the highest score for this years class.
