Highly motivated in the realm of Public Health, Social Justice, and research with focus on the spread of disease through populations by physical and social means. My passion in public health resides in producing meaningful research to increase equity amongst vulnerable populations.
Effects of Social Distancing in Elderly Populations During Pandemics:
Key Research includes includes data collection to identify themes and scenarios in which the elderly are put in extreme social isolation conditions. This literature review is to examine and define the psychological and physiological health effects of extreme isolation during times of pandemics. The goal of this research is in hopes to be used a template to continue the debate and discussion of ageism, pandemic preparedness, and nursing facility policies in times of greater social isolation of the elderly and the effects it has on their caregivers.
Psychological Impacts of Outbreaks:
Goals of this research project is to identify the psychological impacts of vulnerable populations that are deemed susceptible to pandemics. This project included a thorough literature review as well as categorical data analysis.
