Responsible for daily routine operation of histology lab managing eight techs. Routine QC of daily embedding,microtomy and staining of slides for pathologist review. Responsible for monthly QM reports, periodic maintenance of all lab equipment, scheduling employees, payroll charting and edits, when short staffed fill in for absent techs. Special Stains and immunohistochemistry stains. Ensuring all specimens from outside accounts reached proper destinations. Report to Regional Manager daily for all histology operations. One of the greatest achievements and challenges was learning to interact with employees.
After three years of bench tech experience and obtaining HT in 2002 I was appointed department supervisor 2004. 2007 achieved plaque award "America's Outstanding Professionals HT ASCP" for the years 2006-2007. In October of 2010 lab was purchased by Delta Pathology Group.
