Accomplishments

As a first year teacher, I was chosen and given the privilege to teach an AVID course, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID is a college readiness system for elementary through high school education that is designed to increase school wide learning and performance.


I am the first teacher to ever teach the AVID course at the Richard Milburn Academy-Houston Suburban campus.


Trained fellow colleagues on the Cornell notes innovative note taking method that became the standard for all core courses.
