Oversight of athletic programs for all high school sports including supervision of all personnel in developing and maintaining viable programs. With the approval of the Head of School, all human resource duties for hiring and separation.

Supervision

- Supervise all high school coaches providing direction and mentors

- Instruction and training for fundamentals of coaching, first aide/health/safety, concussion and sudden cardiac training

Planning

- Plan high school athletic programs annually in relation to TSSAA regulations and school calendar

- In consultation with the Head of School, make recommendations for the hiring of high school head coaches

- Assist head coaches in the selection of assistant coaches

- Provide for orientation, direction and training of high school coaches

Administration

- Compile, verify and send all TSSAA eligibility reports including all hardship requests for eligibility to TSSAA

- Remain current on all rule and eligibility changes and communicating to school/coaches

- Organize all sports awards through recommendation from each high school head coach

- Plan and provide for all officials for high school events

- Management of all athletic gear; schedule practices and competition facilities and location; maintain athletic equipment and recommend purchase and replacements

Business and Financial Responsibility

- In collaboration with Head of School and CFO, provide a annual budget

- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy including but not limited to a booster club, local business advertisement, fund raising and overall branding

Public Relations

- Serve as spokesperson and promoter of athletics at the school

- Coordinate and assist visiting teams and arrange for needed services

- Schedule and plan for sports awards programs at the end of each high school sport
