Since June of 2013, I have had the honor of working for the Community Foundation of New Jersey, a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to philanthropy that facilitates donations to address community needs and support local nonprofits. My current employer has counseled New Jersey families and businesses on how to use philanthropic funds to target and increase the impact of their giving in the areas that matter most to them for over 40 years. The Community Foundation's funds currently hold over $500 million in charitable assets and granted more than $61 million in 2019 to charitable work in New Jersey and beyond. I currently manage the Community Foundation of New Jersey's grantmaking programs to ensure systems meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. My current position serves as the entry point to the Community Foundation team of 15 people, and I provide a range of duties that touch upon all stakeholder positions. I have strong information technology skills in several software systems, which fulfill one of my strongest passions, which is technology. The software systems include Blaukbaud FIMS (a Foundation Project Management Software,) Blaukbaud DonorCentral (a Donor-Advised Fund & Engagement Management Software,) RenPSG DonorFirst (an online and cloud-based Donor-Advised Fund Account Management Platform,) & Microsoft Office. My team and I continuously work to streamline the Foundation's grant management process in order to keep up with changing technology trends and to satisfy stakeholder needs. I am confident that my experience and desire to keep learning will allow me to successfully undertake the key responsibilities of the Grants Administrator position to support The Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors' efficient grant administration. In addition, I have a proven track record dedicated to civic and social engagement to help disadvantaged communities, which aligns with the mission and philanthropic focus of The Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. As a first-generation college graduate and second-generation immigrant raised by a low-income family in a low-income community, I know first-hand the importance of philanthropy, volunteerism, and public service. I am beyond grateful for the generosity of donors and individuals who have helped me have access to educational and professional opportunities to thrive in and contribute to today's society. Moreover, one of my deepest passions is helping refugee and immigrant communities and working with the Church World Service and Angels for Action, Inc. made that possible for me. Another rewarding experience I had was when I assisted low-income individuals with drug and alcohol addiction issues during my time with the Lancaster County's Court of Common Pleas. I also mentored youth coming from low-income families during my time with the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster. Lastly, in my role as a campaigner and ESL tutor for the CAREER OBJECTIVE Passionate professional with over 6 years of experience in grants management in the philanthropic sector with a desire to continue learning and growing in the administrative work of grantmaking and to secure a challenging career opportunity to fully utilize my training and skills, while making a significant contribution to the success of The Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.
