· Glen Ellyn Food Pantry Fall Fall 2013- Fall 2016
Focused on distribution of information regarding Food Pantry resources among those in the Glen Ellyn area. Worked with directors on the most efficient collection of items such as non-perishable foods, clothing, and toiletries.
· Best Buddies Group for High School Children with Down syndrome Spring 2015 semester every Wednesday:
Set up areas in which games, snacks, and art materials could be used. Worked on social, behavioral, and group interactions. Developed relationships with the students and encouraged them to get involved in after-school sports and clubs.
· Youth cheerleading summer camps 2015 and 2016:
Encouraged young children ages 5 and up to engage in both group and individual problem solving tasks. Worked on memory and recall through specific motions, dances and chants. Development of both fine and gross motor skills.
· Feed My Starving Children Fall 2016:
Organized different grains, beans, and rices into packaging for distribution. These food packs were sent out to several countries around the globe to quell malnutrition in developing areas.
· STEM-Con: April 28th, 2018 (9am-12pm):
Began set-up of information booth and visual aids in order to present scientific information on the growth cycle of different plant species to children ages 7-18. Fostered both individual and group development in STEM focused material.
· Comfort for Critters January 19th thru March 19, 2018 (20 hours):
Knit blankets for animals placed in shelters to help keep them warm and comfortable in their cold cages.
· College of DuPage 5K October 13th, 2018:
Gathered a team of 5 individuals who ran the race and donated the proceeds to Glenbard West High School funding for children in need.
· College of DuPage Photoshoot November 2nd, 2018 (9am- 3pm):
Modeled for the student photographers in order to help them with their project deadlines. Created desired looks upon meeting with each artist and discussing project needs.
· New Horizons Academy: Fall 2020:
Tutored young students on homework assignments and the best study preparation methods for exams. I was able to mentor these students and show them that they should strive for higher education. This project was an after-school program for at risk children in the Lehigh, Florida area.
· Environmental Videoproject for Florida Gulf Coast University Food Forest: Fall 2020:
Created advertisements for the protection of and use of sustainable resources to help our planet. These informational videos and quizzes were distributed to students in Florida schools who were unable to attend in class lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
· Sustainability project at Florida Gulf COast University Fall 2020:
Curated art work that focused on the rising environmental issues surrounding the Southwest Florida area. These materials were distributed among the campus population in order to serve as a reminder to use sustainable practices both on and off campus.
· Pause for Paws Spring 2021:
Worked in a group setting to create toys for animals in shelters. Communicated among group members to efficiently package and send out materials.
