I taught math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. Parker-Bennett was an underprivileged school and we were the three lowest performing schools in the state.
The school was assigned two Distinguished Educators and they trained the staff in best practices. We learned how to manage behavior in a positive way and we also changed our teaching practices to more hands on learning.
The following year, we were a School of Distinction.
